Born and raised in Bartlesville Oklahoma she studied journalism as well as gerontology at the college level. A number of prominent publications have praised her blog for its success and lauded her writing style, her innovative ideas and excellent photography. Her blog also features visually-impressive food recipes. The Pioneer Woman is her television program, broadcast by The Food Network.
