Zazie Beetz, born in 1991 Born in 1991, she was raised in Berlin. Her father was a German Cabinet Maker who immigrated in the United States following the fall of the Berlin Wall. Jennifer Aniston attended the same high school as Beetz. Beetz was a student at Skidmore College to study French after graduating LaGuardia. She immediately started auditioning after school and was able to land the part in the role of Van at Atlanta. Beetz was born to an German father and an African American mother from Berlin, was raised in New York and spoke German and English. Zazie has performed in theaters around the city since she was a child. Her passion for acting was evident and she began acting in elementary school. Zendaya was able to land her Disney Channel breakout role thanks her impressive dancing skills. In 2010, the dancer and actress finally landed her breakout role when she was cast as Rocky Blue in the show 'Shake It Up', with her co-star Bella Thorne. Zendaya went vegetarian when she was eleven after passing by the killinghouse along together with her dad during a trip. She tells PEOPLE, "I thought it was horrible, seeing all the animals getting packed up in there in a cage waiting to be killed. "I could not believe that was how I had obtained my food!" Since then, she has been on a vegan diet.
