Eve Maughan was born November 22, 1982, in London, England. She is the daughter Trevor Eve's and Sharon Maughan's. Jack and George, her younger brothers, were born in London and grew up in the United Kingdom and Los Angeles. She attended Bedales School before taking her A Levels at Westminster School London. During her time off she played at Beverly Hills Playhouse. Then at St Catherine's College Oxford, she read English. She appeared in the student productions An Ideal Husband Animal Crackers, Scenes from an Execution (which was performed in a tour to Edinburgh Fringe Festival), and The Colour of Justice while studying at Oxford. Eve's credits on television include the BBC The Rotters Club series The Rotters Club Poirot Hawking and the film Stage Beauty (2004). Eve had a prominent role on the shows Starter for 10 (2006) as well as Big Nothing (2006) (both she and Simon Pegg had American accents). The actress spent much of the first half of 2006 living in India developing a drama mini-series Losing Gemma about backpackers. Eve was in Trevor Nunn's two productions. The Royal Court Theatre presented her in Rock n Roll a Tom Stoppard's new production in the year the year 2006. She reprised the role in the Broadway version in 2007. Her parents are Indo-British with British origin Anthony Mitra and an Irish mother Nora Downey. English actor Guyan Mitra is one of the three siblings. They include an elder sibling Jason Mitra. The younger brother of Guyan Mitra is a well-known journalist who is included on Lonely Planet as well as The Sunday Times.
