Audrey Tautou in Beaumont Puy De Domme, France, was born on the 9th of August 1976. Audrey Tautou is an eldest child in a family of four. Her parents encouraged her parents, dentist and teacher who were both teachers to pursue her interest in the theatre. This was in contrast to an earlier desire to be a primatologist due to the fact that she was a fan of monkeys. Her meteoric rise as a young actress was swift and marked by her early successes. In 1998 after her studies, she took part in the French television show that scouts talent Jeunes Premiers which was sponsored by Canal+ and won Best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors before beginning her acting career in earnest. Tautou went to church and Institut Catholique de Paris during her childhood, but she now dissociates herself from the aforementioned societal influences. She has pursued a modeling career along with her acting career. She is the face of L'Oreal Mont Blanc and Chanel frequently referred to as the Chanel Muse. Photographing is also a obsession and she was recently shown her work at the Arles festival, under the title Superficial. Through her photography, she is mainly focused on celebrities and the spotlight. The camera's focus is towards journalists who scrutinized her as she rose to the heights of fame in Amelie. Audrey Tautou's international recognition and popularity exploded after her appearance as Amelie Poulain's lead lady in Le Fabuleux Destin of Amelie Poulain. Amelie was a box office success and was recognized at award ceremonies all over the world. It's also the biggest French language film ever in the US. After the film, she appeared in numerous films ranging from British dramas up to Jean Pierre Jeunet's film Un long Sunday de Faancailles. She then moved to Hollywood and appeared alongside Tom Hanks alongside Ron Howard in The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown.
